It was a good day, June 7 1989, mine was 11lbs and 8 my buddies was 9.7 and 5.5, buddy had his line broke two or three times. I think we caught 18 that day.

Belly on all four of those fish look like they are pre-spawn and ready to go on bed. Where'd you catch them and are you sure they were caught in June and not earlier in the spring? Pretty fish.

I caught several like that in my late teens when i used to pond fish all the time. Those were some good times. I guess its been 20-25yrs since i caught a bass over 6lb. There was a couple years there when i caught a bunch of them though. Using cheap walmarks spinning rods and reels at that, and 10lb stren mono. Black culprit worm or bubble gum trick worm, or a shad rap rapala. I spent most of my senior year fishing.

Abolt caught them at Natchez state park lake, They had built the lake 5 years before and it had just opened that January, at that time my bass was the tenth biggest caught but it only lasted bout a week, this is where the Ms state record came from in 1992. I could not have told you the date but my wife had written it on the back of the photos.
