My wife and I just dehydrated about 10 gallons of pears. They are one of my favorite deer stand snacks. They last a while. I just finished last year's off.

I planted a variety of pear trees last January and look foward the fruit they give

I dehydrated lots of them last year.
We bought a kitchenaid spiral slicer for our mixer and i spiral sliced them, then stand them up and cut the whole pile down the middle to make lots of half doughnut pieces. Sprinkled cinnamon over them and dried them.
They dried easy and keep very well.
Same here.. I took them all last season to the stand like trail mix.
I did put them in a pan of cold water while i was slicing them to help keep them from turning brown untill I dried them.
