We used to pasture raise our hogs when I was a kid. Make sure they have a good wallow spot. Make sure you have a good electric fence. You’ll have to supplement feed them every day. Feed with table scraps and corn. Have a big water trough that they cant flip. The little hog waterers work well too if you don’t have a trough. They tend to wallow around the big troughs.

I'm looking to raise some hogs on pasture land. Looking for advice. I'm new to it, but believe it could be profitable, if not simply feed the family. I'd appreciate inputs from those with experience. Best thing to do is go kill or buy a wild one . No such thing as a pastured raised hog . Might be a pasture for a little while but it won't stay a pasture. Be a dirt pen real soon .
