Thanks for the recommendations. I like the idea of a powered unit, or at least the ability to convert to one. On the Forster, the base seems too light to use free-standing, do you mount it to a board or something? I have both of mine mounted on board. The long, and the standard length. I just clamp it down and go. I have about 12 or 13 calibers I trim. My image above shows both screwed to the board. I was trimming 50 Alaskan cases.

I've decided to give the Lee Quick Trim a try since it is fairly inexpensive and I found a .300 SAUM trim die to go with it. I will let everyone know how it works out. But, I have a feeling I will eventually be investing in a more traditional trimmer. Buy once, cry once.

I have seen the Little Crow trimmers, but I reload way too many different calibers to invest in one of those for each. Does it have multi-caliber capability? I see Lyman has a similar set up with variable bushings for different casings, but reviews seem to be mixed.
Also came across the Lee Quick Trim system that looks interesting. Wondering if anyone has tried that? The WFT2 is made to change chambers to swap different cartridges. I'm just getting started on those. Used the first one and like it a lot.

Also came across the Lee Quick Trim system that looks interesting. Wondering if anyone has tried that? I have multiple calibers too, but I think I am going to get one for 308 and 7-08 if they offer one go from there. The way I look at it is my having to set up my hornady one, and then have to keep tinkering with it to keep it adjusted takes up enough of my time that the 70 bucks the LCT costs worth it. Instead of spending an hour I can spend 5 minutes. Especially when you have a case with a crimp you need to take out, the prep time just to get it loadable is pretty high. Just get the 308 case trimmer from little crow. It works on the whole family of cartridges based on the 308 case. It’s good on the 22-250,243,260,7/08,308.
