I picked up the bow and went yesterday afternoon before the rain came in. I really thought they would be moving before that front, but I was wrong. It was kind of warm, but the wind picked up and I almost froze by dark. I was hunting over a standing corn field with clover along the edges and did not see one deer. Did anyone have any luck yesterday?
The does did seem late to move yesterday (about 4:30) but not surprizing with the wind spooking them.
I did watch a pretty good buck hiding in a cherokee rose thicket, coming out from time to time to sniff the does butts and chase them around.
My hunter passed on a 8 point that came close enough to hear him grunt.
Overall, I thought it was an interesting afternoon.
