What would be the bullet weight range to reload with this barrel twist?

I would guess 150s, might could go with 154s.

Always test... ive got 2 rifles I load for that are currently shooting pills that, on paper, should not shoot well from them.

You gonna pull them pistols, or whistle Dixie?

With a 9.5 twist you should be able to shoot most bullets up to 175 grains. That's a standard twist so the only ones that may not stabilize would be high BC 175 grVLD bullets.

I personally wouldn't shoot anything over 150 gr in a 7 08. Too much velocity loss above that weight IMHO.

Depends on barrel length, but I wouldn’t think the -08 would develop enough velocity to stabilize the heavies. But then again I’ve never played around with much heavy for caliber stuff and the 308 and 7mm08 I have are both 20” Model 7s. I can say the 154s are pretty good in my .280, but the 150 Partition reigns supreme. gun

I would load either 120 or 140 gr bullets in that rifle.

Always thought the Remington 120 was about perfect in the 7/08. Speed less recoil enough bullet weight. I reckon you could go 150/165 but I don't see any advantages. If you need150/175s go .280 or 7 mag.

Only hits count.

I’ve had great results with 120 grain NBTs @3000fps and 140 grain Accubonds and Partitions @2850fps in my Remington Model Seven 7-08 with a 20” barrel.

83% of all statistics are made up.

120 gr NBT and 48 grains of H414 is DEATH on a deer. Out of my 16.5 Ruger carbine no less. Sub MOA all day long too. My son shot a spike this past season at about 40 yards, and it was DRT!
