Does anyone have experience mounting a scope base to one of these barrels? There is some confusing info on the internet and I'm wanting to make sure I guy the correct base. Confusion seems to be around the amount of metal available where TC located their screws (chamber area). Found a $30 base on EABCO. Was hoping there was a less expensive local (big box) option that I'm missing. Thanks.

AFAIK, You DO have to have the shotgun specific base, and I know of no other option but EABCO.
Now, you could find/have made shorter screws, I guess, as the holes are the same, just more shallow threads on the TC shotgun barrels. There are models specific to 12 and 20ga.

Thank you for the replies. I will make some calls today. Looks like EABCO is the available option. Didn’t see anything at EGW, but I’ll call to confirm. Looks like they will both be about $30. Called TC and they no longer offer the base for their product. Also didn’t have a good lead about who to call.
