I'm wanting to buy a trip for my dad and I next season. He will be 60.

He's hunted his whole life but never went duck hunting. I don't necessarily have a budget yet, but I can't break the bank with it either.

Where do yall recommend trying to go and what is a realistic budget?

Byer’s is the place. It’s not cheap but he produces. The place has been in their family 3 or 4 generations as a duck club.
It’s not cheap and not sure if price snow but it used to be 550 a day included room and board. Goose hunting I the afternoon was extra. They have the Specs and hold the specs for some reason during the season.

What kind of hunt? Dry field, flooded AG fields, timber or something else?

Budget per day?

How far willing to travel?

Ticka...

Budget - realistic for a working man
Travel - I'd like to stay in the south
Kinda hunt - something that will be fun and enjoyable for us and a good bit of shooting.

We aren't avid duck hunters. I want to do it to have a memorable time with my pops and him experience something for the first time.

“The Grove” outside pine bluff Arkansas has some fantastic hunting. Excellent food and nice lodge. Short drive to Stuttgart- macks etc. Large casino 10 min away if your into that

OK, look up pluckaduck lodge. Elk river outfitters or something like that? Byers is supposedly good too.

Most timber guides ain't gonna meet a working man's budget. It's high dollar $700+ per gun per day.

I know of a few days leases which are reasonable, but if you arent much of a duck hunter, that's probably not an option.

I've hunted a fair bit in the delta, but not as familiar with the guide scene over there.

Pluck a duck is good. I goose hunted with them 25 plus years ago and they got after it. I’d assume shorty still runs the place

What kind of ducks you wanting to kill? If you just want to hunt waterfowl and shoot a bunch, a goose hunt may be more fun and cheaper.
