Portable? or are you leaving them up?

Portable buy nice once and be done with it. LoneWolf or Nexus? They're the same thing just patent issues I think> Somebody will correct me soon.
Why??? they fit on any tree and adjust for lean which is going to be important, light weight, and quite.
Sticks.........same, or the Hawk Heliums like I have with rope mods are easy to use. My son has Muddy pros he likes as well.
We don't use screw-in steps except as extras at the top sometimes.

If your leaving the sets up. 20-25' sticks from Sportsman's Guide or Rural King for around $40/pc. and a Millenium M-100. Buy some extra brackets and extra sticks, use one stand for all your sets. Very comfortable and lightweight. You have to have a straight spot on the tree trunk for it to set right though.

Just my last 35 yrs. worth dealing with them.

I have multiple and like them all, although I'd only use a few of them as hang-n-hunt setups and others as permanent stands for a season. I have a Lone Wolf Alpha with Hawk Helium sticks. I have an XOP Air Raid with XOP Sticks (my favorite set of sticks). I have a Novix Echo with Novix sticks (the same thing as the Lone Wolf but rebranded because of ownership and naming issues). I love all three and would pack any of them in as a one-time hunt. I typically will pack them in for a hunt and leave them through the weekend and pull them out on a Sunday. I have a Millennium M50 that is really comfortable, but it's heavy. I'll put it up and leave it all year. And I usually use some Field and Stream heavy climbing sticks with it. We also have a Millennium M150 that we use as a permanent lock-on for the season.

If you're wanting permanent sets, I think you'd be just as well off to get some of the Academy Game Winner lock-ons with climbing ladders. But if you want something to take in and out every time, IMO it's worth spending the money to get a nice setup. And you can find some really good deals on here or Craig's List or the Facebook marketplace or groups like Run N Gun Whitetails on facebook. If I had to choose one setup as my favorite, I like the XOP set up mostly because their sticks feel the sturdiest to me and are designed to connect together. But XOP is made in China, and a lot of people don't like that. Novix is made in the USA and Lone Wolf are made in the USA.

I use muddy boss xl. They can be bought for $75-80 on sale. Light. Comfortable. Non-skid finish. Integrated foot rest. Silent. I have 5 of them. Four I bought to leave up and one I use as a portable set up.

Leaving them up I'd get cheapest 20ft steel steps I could find. My portable set up is 4 hawk helium aluminum 30" sections. They are light and bite the tree very well. I can be start to finish hang/hunt in 6-8 minutes

Lone Wolf Alpha II and four sticks. I only use it in certain trees where a climber doesnt work. Offers adjustability to the tree angle really well.

Lone Wolf Alpha II with 5 lone wolf sticks and a Hawk Helium with 5 Muddy sticks for hang and hunt situations.

As for set ups on fields and other areas where I leave stands for most of the season, I use a combination of older Gorilla stands and Hawk Mega Combat stands with Millenium M210 sticks. The Millenium sticks can be found for around $70 and are 20', they stack together really tight and are better quality that most steel sticks.

My hunting buddy and I have around 25 sets of stands and sticks that we've accumulated through the years. We never leave them in the woods after season is over so they last a long time. Just keep an eye on the straps and cables and replace them periodically.

We are bow hunters so during the course of the season we will scatter stands from one end of our place to the other. We wait till season is over to gather them all up.

Millennium M25 and M100. For steps, any steel ladder sticks will do.

Use a millennium m100 for sets that I hang pre season. I use a XOP vanish and XOP sticks and a millennium M7 micro lite for more mobile setups

2 Millennium M150 stands with 20 ft hurricane safety system gravity ladders and multiple brackets if I want to move around.

Do any of the hang on stands that were mentioned have adjustable height seats? I’m a short legged goat. Don’t want my legs swinging back and forth 20’ up a tree.
