I have a bit of a raccoon problem, I have seen 4 so far. They stand off with the deer, they even charge some deer, they steal my corn and chew up my deer block. That deer block was 30 lbs new, they were able to move it pretty good, they rolled it over the hill in the background. They can climb trees pretty good apparently, they climb the trees in the background so high they go off the picture. Can they live in trees? I don't see a reason why they would go that high if not. Stupid question probably but I know almost nothing about raccoons or trapping, debating getting into it though.

You dont want to leave them in traps for a week. If your there on weekends like you get there Friday set them and when you leave Sunday or after your ck Sunday un set them. That's what I was wondering, the most I'd be able to do is set them Saturday, check on Sunday.

You will be surprised how many coons you can catch off of a corn pile in a short amount of time. Buy you 6 dp (dog proof) coon traps and then bait and set around your corn. Set multiple traps around each corn station. You don't have to do a lot of fancy trap hiding with dp's. Just bait and set. They can be in the wide open. But, you do need to anchor them well. My best way is to get a piece of cable with loops on each end and wrap it around a tree or a heavy log. You can interlock the trap chain to the other loop or use a quick link to connect the two. Dry cat food and sardine oil is a good easy bait this time of year.
Don't give up, don't ever give up!

What would you do with their body after you kill them? Leave them somewhere on your property you don't visit often, bury them, some people eat them, what do y'all do?

You also must tag your traps, you also must carry a choke stick when checking traps. Little things like this that is if you want to be legal.
Romans 8:1-2 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, for the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of Sin and Death"

If you’re NOT trapping for commercial purposes and only trapping your own place, do you have to get a trapping license?
