I am looking at these as an option for a house I am buying. Anyone know someone who sells these around Muscle Shoals. Trying to see if my money would be better spent here or on a stick built.

I bought mine out of Little Rock, AK. They had the cheapest prices of anyone else I called at the time and freight is only $300

Keep an eye out on the specials. Those are buildings that people put a deposit on and bailed, so you can buy them at a very good price.

I can save you the trouble. I built a stick building last summer for quite a bit less than a steel building. It was 30x40 with a 14 ft side shed.

I chose steel for a couple reasons. My metal building came with a stamped set of engineered plans for the wind load etc in my area. You will not get that with a pole barn type kit. Another big reason I went with steel is so that I do not have to worry about termites, carpenter bee's etc getting into the wood.

Also, I ordered my building and the entire thing showed up on a flatbed in my front yard. It included every nut, bolt, washer, anchor, roll up door, wal thru door and trim piece that I needed to complete the shop.

My father in law and I put it up from start to finish in 4 1/2 days, and it was a first for both of us however my father in law is very good with metal.

My building is a 30x40' with 12' wall height with 1 walk thru door and 1 10x10 roll up door just to give you an idea. It is engineered for 160 mph windload.

Todd my 30x40 insulated, concrete driveway, bricked, and all the bells and whistles should come in under 30 per sq ft, hopefully about 28 per sq ft. The metal building I priced was only a couple thousand less than a stick built building and I added a storm room to this one.
