OK. If I go and shoot 3D's this year, what do I apply to my inserts to keep them from staying in a 3D when I pull the arrow? I'll be using GT Hunters with regular inserts and screw in 125 grain points. Is hot melt ok or a special epoxy? Been over a decade since I shot foam, so I don't know how dense the foam is in the targets. Thanks.

I would use some kind of epoxy glue. These new targets are not as hard as the old ones use to be but they are more dense. I use the $7 stuff from Wal-Mart for my fletchings and inserts and I haven't had a problem with them pulling out. Just be sure your point is smaller than the insert.

If you use epoxy, make sure it’s a slow setting type. I always use Gorilla super glue myself. Make sure you clean the inside of of the shafts thoroughly with denatured alcohol.

Don’t use the Gorilla glue in your hair, Dan. 😜
