Do you guys shoot pretty regularly throughout the "off season"?

I usually do, but this last year included a move, buying our first house, new job, all sorts of stuff. Idk if that is why, but I definitely had a hard time for the first half of the season. Missed 3 different deer with my bow. 2 because stuff broke and 1 because I just suck grin Glad I stuck with it though, got my first buck. Only took my gun hunting once this year. Think I'll probably take in none times next year.

When you practice through the summer, do you just shoot and have fun? Do you get elevated and keep your "tree stand game" going? What do you guys do?

Use to shoot 3D shoots all spring and summer long............used to. After about 25 years of that, I retired to shooting my backyard target butt in Aug until bow season.

I’ll start shooting a little in July and August. September I’m shooting almost daily.

Before I screwed my neck and back up I used to shoot a minimum of 30 arrows a day at least 6 days a week mostly with my tournament bows. Now that I’m retired from the tournaments, I normally shoot once a day starting about mid July with my hunting rig.

Deer season is when I get a break from shooting. From February to September I try to shoot every day and on the weekends that I'm off I'll be shooting some type of archery tournament.

I’ll start shooting a couple weekends a month in July at the air conditioned indoor range. Then in September, I’ll start shooting early mornings and late afternoons to try and beat the heat. I can’t stand shooting and getting all my stuff sweaty. I’m going to have to start early this year since my son bought me a new back tension release and I promised him I would use it next season.
