1.5 F is mainly for black powder metallic cartridges (cowboy action stuff), and 1F is generally a bit to course for smaller rifle calibers. I'm not saying if times got hard you wouldn't use that, but 3f and 2f are the preferred granulations I use. They showed 3f swiss being out of stock when I was looking a couple of weeks ago.
