He’s right at 55 and lacks a week until he’s 7 months. What will he top out at. Vet thought around 80 on his last set of shots.

Maybe more. I had a 95# bruiser that was around that size at that age. Never had an ounce of fat on him.....just a bigger dog.

My female grew like a weed and was 55ish# @ 7-8 months, but she topped out really quick after that and is now 60-62# at almost 3. I was afraid that she was going to be 80# before she quit growing lol.

Thanks

That makes me feel better.
I’ve had. A large lab and my good friend had a black lab that weighed 120 and had zero fat. That dog took up a lot of room where ever we were.

I bet. I like mine to be in that 50-60# range. He is a good looking pup.

My red female on here was right at that size at 7-8mos, and her parents were #45 & #55.....she finished at #75. No hard/fast prediction......even among litter mates, some mature faster and are bigger/smaller......those 75-90# bruisers are great in the cold big water and geese......those 45-65# labs make life in a pirogue much less stressful, though.

My ellie is a big girl, 76 lbs and thin. I believe she is from one of your pups Jim. The new one is 4 months old and already 37 lbs. Big feet to grow into. Her dad was a slender 95 when I picked her up so she could get big. My old one topped out at a husky 65 but she is much thinner now at 52lbs (15 years old, and some cancer will do that). I expected the new one to be smaller since she was about the runt of the little but she is not showing any signs of slowing down. Guess you never know. I can tell you that regardless of size, 3 labs (one with "selective hearing" at best) is a handful, but I wish it would never change.

Jason

Charlie is a ‘svelte’ 75#, normally. LOL. She’s got the figure of a dozen Jersey milk cows right now. LOL

That’s Chief. He’ll be 7 in July and weighs 93 pounds. Solid muscle. Was about the same size as yours at that age. Vet says he’s completely happy with his weight and is healthy as can be.

My old lab, been 20 years, was #100 in his prime. If I remember right, he was topped out on height after about 6 months and just filled in from there.

I have had big labs and small labs. Had a yellow male that topped out around 95# and was a handful, but my best duck dog was a black female that topped out at around 50#. But she did have a tough time with geese, the male however had no problem at all with them.
