I've read articles about hogs in all 67 counties in AL, where are they?

Anybody know if there are any hogs near Wadley, Daviston, Goldville, or Sikesville?

This has been a couple of years ago now at least, but I think I seen a hog near Abanda in Chambers County.

It was running and too far away to tell for sure, it was just a blur for a second. That's the extent of my experience on the subject.

Barbour WMA warns of black bear for sure and I think they have hogs?

Unrelated but I did see a bear track for sure around September 2018 about a mile north of Penton, was looking at a property for sale at the time. I wish I still had the picture but I lost it somehow.

I can unequivocally say there’s a damn buttload of them in Clarke, Wilcox, Dallas and Marengo counties. I’m pretty dang good at killing stuff an I’ve killed every single one I’ve seen for the past 5 yrs on my current property and haven’t even made a dent in them. Bout to join the trapping crew. After burning a bunch of powder and killing them by the truckload, I’m convinced you can’t shoot them out unless you’re shooting them 15-30 at a time in a trap.

Damn sounds like you have a real problem on your hands, I kind of want to hunt hogs, but I don't think we want them on our land either. I don't know, double edged sword I guess.

I've been through Delta before, it's been a while though. I heard there is a good population of them in the Tuskegee National Forest not too long ago actually. Forgot to mention that.

I actually live in Lee County.

And no, you definitely do not want them on your land. You might think you do, but you don’t. Trust me on this one.

What they ^^^^^^ said. Hogs is fun to shoot and good to eat but that's where the good stuff ends. Everything else about em outweighs the good stuff.

Talledega National Forest has a bunch and that's not too far from you. Bankhead National Forest is also overrun with them.

Plenty in the South Macon/ North Bullock line area along Hwy 29.
Cannot shoot them out. trapping only helps your feelings, but not the overall population. they are replacing every pig you catch with 10-12 more about every 12 weeks. There will be a lot of leases ( paper co primarily ) begin to open in that area. Folks that want to have a good spot for deer wont pay the inflated paper co prices, and will be opting out. Wonder what the lease rate will be when all RMS can lease to in some places are pig hunters?.
