Anybody have experience with one of these? I’m in the market for a new shotgun and loved the way it shouldered. I did some looking online at reviews, and apparently they are hit or miss on feed issues and extraction. I was hoping someone had some hands on experience that could shed some light.

This may not be what you wanted but I'll give my advice, buy a super nice older Belgium gun and save some $.

I appreciate it 2dogs, I want to get one and have seen quite a few, but the only ones that allow for chokes seem to be the Japanese versions.

I hear ya, I'd love to have a Jap barrel for my oldies. I have more than one 12ga and an extra barrel , I swap them often.

I have 2. One is better on light loads than the other.

The 3” 12s I’ve been around had zero issues. 3.5” guns of any sort are asking for issues with lighter loads.....and some guns are more sensitive to lifter springs and such, than others.

If I were to buy new, it would be a 3” version as I have no use for 3.5”. I’d like to have an original mag. I just looked into the Hastings barrels and they want shy of $500 for a barrel. Seems like my best option would be to pick through the litter and find a jap 28” invector. Thanks

I love my Auto 5s, but they’re totally different guns....an Auto 5 mag 12 is gonna weigh close to 3# more than an A5.....if it matters.

I have a new sweet 16. Bought it for dove hunts. No issues out of it yet but I’ve only run a few boxes of shells through it so far

I have 2 of the new a5s, I’ve read the horror stories online but never had issues with either. That being said, a 1oz shell is as light as I load and I prefer 1 1/8 in lighter loads.

I bought a 26 improved cyc.Jap barrel for my old 2 3/4 A5 and had it threaded for a screw in choke so I could hunt turkeys and quail with the same barrel.

There were issues with the early 3.5" models and cycling.

I know two guys with 3" 12 GA ones and they have no complaints. I can tell you they flung a bunch of empty hulls this last weekend with no problems.
