This may not be what you wanted but I'll give my advice, buy a super nice older Belgium gun and save some $.

I hear ya, I'd love to have a Jap barrel for my oldies. I have more than one 12ga and an extra barrel , I swap them often.

Anybody have experience with one of these? I’m in the market for a new shotgun and loved the way it shouldered. I did some looking online at reviews, and apparently they are hit or miss on feed issues and extraction. I was hoping someone had some hands on experience that could shed some light. I have 2. One is better on light loads than the other.

I bought a 26 improved cyc.Jap barrel for my old 2 3/4 A5 and had it threaded for a screw in choke so I could hunt turkeys and quail with the same barrel.

There were issues with the early 3.5" models and cycling.
I know two guys with 3" 12 GA ones and they have no complaints. I can tell you they flung a bunch of empty hulls this last weekend with no problems.
