It isn't necessary to see a good tackle...you can hear it.

Sorry been tracking since Friday night its been busy. Found another one this morning.

Friday night track. Deer was shot at 8am known gut shot. We both agreed to wait until dark to give him plenty of time. Relatively easy for 1st one of the year Heidi went straight to him.

On the way home from 1st track got a call for another, but it was far back as well and wanted to wait until morning. So Saturday I got up early and this one made us work but we got him. Rather be lucky than good. Lol

The 3rd one was a buddy of mine. He and his family have gone to church with us for a while. I've known him since he was a little kid. But he shot one yesterday evening and they couldn't find it. Backed out and went home to watch Alabama game. His dad called me and I said heck yea be there in the morning. We got there and I've been working Heidi and Ada together this year and been going great. They both take off and into a thick ash thicket. I catch up to them at a fence and see blood. I yell for Robert and he meets me. Then we take off again and he has been beating himself up all night and all morning, but I looked down at the garmin and both dogs were on point about 128 yards in. I said dang I hope they aren't digging a hole for a armadillo or something and I could see he thought I was serious. We eased up to a cane thicket and there he laid in his bed dead as a hammer. I knew all along they had found him. He toted that arrow though 650 yards and it never wiggled out.

WOW!!
650 yards! Not an impossible track without dogs, but not a good chance without them!!

Good work!!!

Those are impressive tracks. You and your dogs did great. Iā€™m sure those hunters were very thankful.
