You done moved from early this morning? Or just a different direction? I used to enjoy a little ground hunting with a bow. I used to enjoy hunting with a bow, before my shoulders quit on me. 😕

I used to enjoy hunting with a bow, before my shoulders quit on me. 😕 Same spot. The pic was just really zoomed in. Saw about a dozen does and that buck continued over the crest of the hill. I had just got into bow hunting around 2011 but hurt my shoulder in 2013 so I backed off it for the most part. It’s gotten healed enough that I was confident enough to pick up a new bow and sold the crossbow. I used to be all about tree stands but a ground setup is 2x lighter. I bought a cheapo 40$ Ghillie thing from amazon, or I just rig alittle camo netting between two fiberglass poles. I just kick back in my turkey lounger and wait.

Last night I saw over 15 racked bucks, with 5 being shooters on a big clover field.. none came within range of course.. That’s about 3x what I find in a whole season.

Went with a buddy to his place this morning. Saw six out of a stand I helped him Find a place for on a ridge about a month ago. Ate some fine BBQ and banana pudding. Then helped him cut a place in a fence row and put a tripod in it, We saw a few deer while doing that.
Congrats to the killas!

I stuck a nice 8 point and he went into the thickest crap on the club .....gonna go back in the morning with some help and see if we can find him. I shot him right below the neck straight on, the arrow buried about 10 inches deep, when he turned into the woods the arrow came out. No blood trail, so I am thinking he may be filling the chest cavity .....hopefully
Let them walk ...and grow them big

Stuck a monster yesterday before dark. Watched him carry my arrow away. Looking this morning and may need a dog. Haven't got any responses. Any unlisted dogs near pleasant grove? Jefferson county If you do Facebook join Alabama blood trailers or send me your number and I can post it on there for you.
