I read good things about the Optika 6 in general. Weight seems to be the biggest downside but that isn’t always a negative.
However it baffles me why they would make a FFP “Plex” reticle. I can’t think of a single advantage of a FFP plex reticle, only disadvantages. I’d love to hear it If someone can make a case for FFP plex reticle over a SFP plex reticle.

My two complaints about the Optika line are the Star Trek looking magnification ring and like BH2 said, the weight. I really liked the glass and LOVE the dichrotech/dichroic reticle .... the one I had was a sfp scope

They make all the model in FFP and SFP. So to get a FFP with a Plex....to answer buckhunter2's question.... I bet that's "on sale". Low Light maybe? Would not be my first choice.
Great scopes otherwise.

I really like FFP Plex reticles for hunting. Reticle gets larger as you increase the zoom, which seems to help in low light
Yes but it’s useless on lower power in low light and it’s too fat on high power for precision work.

Took my Optika 5 out today. It’s on par with Meopro glass. It was 1pm when I was out shooting so wasn’t able to test it in low light. I the the 3-18x56 would be great for that. I run Meostar 3-12x56 with light dot #4 for my food plot set up and I could sit as long as needed lol. I think I will like the Optika pretty good. If I jump on another Bergara I think I’ll get another Optika 5 in the 4-20

I have Optika6 4.5-27 and 5-30 on my 6.5 CM Bergara rifles. Amazing accuracy and repeatability. I have been a Bergara fan since they showed up and now with Meopta, I think I am getting all the accuracy possible out of my rifles. I Will keep the Optika6's on these rifles just because of the added elevation adjustment I get from the 30mm tube.

I’m a huge meopta fan but just wanted to point out that according to Doug at CameraLandNY (he knows his stuff), the glass on the meopta Optika 6 & 5 line is inferior to Meopro glass and of course Meostar glass quality.
The price reflects the glass quality, which is still certainly usable for 99% of most everyone’s application. So if it’s your first meopta scope, don’t make the mistake of thinking the glass is representative of the best they have to offer just b/c it’s the newest model out.
It’s actually the bottom tier for meopta in terms of glass quality that was designed to compete with the Vortex PST Gen 2 range of scopes.
