I know it has been posted before, but it never gets old for me. Tribute to Tom Kelly. One who describes turkey hunting as many of us know it.

There’s absolutely no telling how many times I’ve listened to it. Have to be honest- Tom Kelly can get a little long winded for me, but Afternoon on the Handles is spot on.

We were talking one day about gobblers hanging up on us. He told me if that turkey wants to come he's coming and if he doesn't want to come nothing short of the will of God can make him.

My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

He was killed in a wreck. I know who he was. What in the heck does mentioning him have to do with Tom Kelly or “Afternoon on the Handles”? I thought maybe I missed part of the story that had something significant to do with him.
