They will fly out, I've got ours completely enclosed. I went with 5' chicken wire around the outside and some plastic netting on top.
No good decision was ever made from a swivel chair.

I was told you can criss-cross fishing line over the top and birds won't bother them. But I've never tried it. I think the varmits will still climb over

I’ve heard a guard goose is good to keep around chickens. I’ve also heard the fishing line trick works too.
