Read few months back where Ms State conducted a clover study and frosty berseen was voted in top 2 as deers favorite clover

You could google that and maybe get more info - the survey showing it would be the deers top choice of clover is positive

Can one of y'all post the link to this study? I have searched for it and can not find the study.

Close, bigbee berseem isn't as cold tolerant as frosty berseem. I've never planted it just done some research on it

Squeaky - here is what I did many weeks back - I entered - what is the best clover for deer - in google - then I read article by advacedhunter- the article was named planting the best clover food plot for deer and turkey - scroll down that article - I just read it again - the article said - the frosty berceem was actually the top choice by deer along with another choice as number 2 on a study performed by Miss State

I ended up buying WMS clover feast - it had frosty in it along with some other good looking clovers - we will see how it does

It can grow in most any soils and from what I planted last year was impressed with how well it did in really wet soil. I mean standing water in sections of the field wet. Lasts longer than crimson and made it to almost 3’ tall in mid-late May. Keep the potassium to it and it’s impressive

I found it and thank you!

I planted the WMS clover feast and I have also planted the frosty berseem and fixation balansa in the past few years. I have some Fixation Balansa, Bigbee Berseem, Blackhawk Arrow Leaf, Ladino and Patriot I'm going to plant with the new to me landpride no-till drill I have acquired. I has the clover seed box on it so we gonna test it out.

We planted the WMS clover feast this year as well. Be interesting to see what it does. After reading the hype from other companies (not just WMS) I’m fully expecting some type of Jack and the bean stalk growth lol

May 16th. Would guess this frosty is between 2-3’ tall.
