So yesterday I picked up my bow at Bennett’s after work. Had new string, tuned, silencers, new vanes, etc. Shoots great and I just need to get muscle memory back after not shooting in about 5 years. When I got home, I was showing my wife all the stuff he did to the bow and taking about it. I’m in mid sentence she breaks in and says quote: “Bow season starts October 15 and runs through February 10. You can only shoot bucks the first 10 days of the season in our area then you can kill a doe after those 10 days.” Rarely have I been speechless but she blindsided me with that! I asked her where she got all that info. Turns out she was at salon getting hair done when I texted her that I was picking my bow up. “So I just looked it up!” We had a good laugh!

Btw, that Matthews VXR is badass. He let me shoot his and even with my inexperience with bows, I could tell this is one incredible bow.

Sounds like you need to slip in a text to your wife (by accident of course) about that VRX. Or maybe Siri can for you.

I gotta get a lot more serious about bow hunting before dropping $1200+ on a bow! It is sweet tho!

It won’t take you long. You drill that first deer and get on that blood trail that looks like someone poured out a bucket of red paint and you’ll be ready to upgrade. I know it’s crazy. If it’s working don’t fix it but it always seems to work that way. I have a friend that manages a hunting store and every time I go in he tries to get me to shoot the latest greatest bow. After buying a couple I refuse to shoot anymore until my others fail and by that time I’ll be too old to shoot them. Good luck this season and stay safe

I got back into bow hunting this year, only hunted a few times with a bow, bought a Matthews Triax!! Love it!! Smooth shooting too!!,

My VXR ships Wednesday so hopefully by Saturday I can sling a few arrows. First new bow since the Z7 I bought new so I am looking forward to it. Heading to Nebraska November 3 for a week
