I forsee alot of deboned "out of state" deer ahowing up at the processors this year. According to some, Alabama was in the dark ages in regard to informing The Man about taking The Man's animals unlike other states with check-reporting systems. So if you have a deboned deer, meat or a carcass from another state where checking is required you would, if being legal, also have a confirmation number from that state to provide. While I think the processor requirement is horsecrap, just saying "it's from another state" won't hold up if that "other state" has a check system, confirmation numbers and so forth. Bringing a game animal across state lines in violation of a state's laws/regs would be, potentially, a federal Lacey Act violation should The Man want to get really serious about it. But with just a $50 fine here in Alabama for not checking a deer, it's not even a bother. That's like flicking away a mosquito. Scary penalty, no teeth.

Buzzards gone eat good in this state this year then. Lots of folks won't be adhering to this.

ADCNR is doing a facebook live video this coming Tuesday at 10:30am to answer questions if you'd like to watch it. I will post a link to it on my business facebook page "Shana's Place" I have been asked to send them a list of questions that would be helpful to answer publicly. I have gathered all the questions from here, but if you have anything you'd like me to request an answer for, please let me know...comment here, email me shanasplace1@gmail.com or call me 334-202-9545. What they are doing to us processors is absolutely not right! Using us as an enforcement funnel! They say the deer population numbers are declining! I will post the dates of the next board meeting, should be end of Jan/first of Feb. That is where we can get together and have our voice heard.

You have every opportunity to shoot 3 bucks and 2 does a season by your own choice.
Do you need the government to tell you that?

I had a processor tell me today that he could be fined $1500 for a unpapered deer in his facility. No idea if that is true.

I personally know 3 men who have no internet, no smart phone and not even cable TV. What exactly are those guys supposed to do about getting a deer processed?

the amount of any fine has nothing to do with the "ENFORCEMENT AGENT"

the amount of any fine has nothing to do with the "ENFORCEMENT AGENT" But the decision to cite, or not cite, does. 😉

What a bunch of damn dumbasses Just like hunters are declining. Just because you can't quantify the number with license sales doesn't mean there's a decline.
