Not a whole lot of time spent with the .30cal ELD-X but I’ve really been impressed with it in the 6.5mm family...keep us updated how they do with ‘06.

I've not shot anything but paper with those but dang my 270wsm really likes the 145g. I'm sure if I can do my part they will too. Ladder I did had a huge node.

Same here with an old adl 270win. Factory gun that loves a recipe of IMR4350 capped with a 145gr eld-x.

Shiloh what other powders you have for the '06? 2500 fps will work but a bit slow.

Shiloh, you might give IMR4831 or Ramshot Hunter to get good velocity. I've tried H4831SC but never could get good velocity even with a compressed load.

Well this is really my first go round with any 4350. I have imr 4895, imr 4064 ,h380 and RL 19 that I've had good luck with in the past . I have a # of superformance I'm going to work with next. I'm just really surprised at how slow and un accurate they where. I was expecting 2550 + but... Im going back to simmons this coming week. I'll pick up some ramshot hunter and hopefully some varget. 165gr ttsx and 4064 shot sub moa at 2800+ out of my 06 so if the eldx don't pan out I'll revert back to that combo.

I'll vote for RL 19.

This is the beauty of handloading yes it stinks 4350 didn't work but better to try another powder now and fix it. Once had visiting privledges wit a custom '06 that hated 4350 &4831 we wound up using Norma 200 for the heavies and 4320.

I've only tried R19 a few times but I've never had any luck with it. Poor velocities and accuracy.

4350 has been my go to powder in many rifles.

I started using them in my 308 178 grain, and my 300 wsm 200 grain in Kentucky , have shot 7 in the last 2 years combined and none have taken a step. Accuracy has always been very good also

I've only used them in a 6.5, but my experience there is that ELD-X is straight MURDER on a deer. excellent performance on deer.
