Long day, helping my Dad move into our house in town, but we still found time to cook up some decent grub. I made a Hoppin' John over rice and Mrs. Irish whipped up a tomato pie with some fresh tomatoes that were hung on our mailbox by an unknown benefactor. That tomato pie was pretty damn good. So good I'm having it with some scrambled eggs for breakfast this morning.

Love tomatoes with breakfast! My mother made a tomato relish that I would pour over grits.
