What Spiceology products have you tried and how were they? Particularly interested in some type of dry rub for a boston butt. I like the looks of their stuff, but hard to find good reviews anywhere.

It's not that difficult to make your own blends of spices. There are thousands of recipes online.

Never used it.
Salt, garlic salt, pepper, paprika, cumin and sometimes add brown sugar to the mix for butts.

I've done that, but don't cook or grill terribly often, so it's not worth it to me to have to make up my rub too. Was just curious about these and taking the lazy route. Ended up ordering Lambert's Sweet Rub-O-Mine and Spiceology- Derek Wolf's Tennessee Smoke. To be determined.

There are so many 'branded' rubs out there it can be hard to choose one. I stick with a few favorites, most commonly Bad Byron's Butt Rub. I will happily throw something together when I need it however, it just becomes difficult to reproduce if I don't write it down.
