Just wondering if those that have them are still impressed now that the hype has died down a little? Always like to hear first hand info.

Thanks for posting this man. I'm contemplating on upgrading from the no cam htr to the 28 vxr. Any information would be appreciated

I’m sure it will be like every other year.... smoothest.. quietest...fastest.... lightest.... by the time our bow season rolls around they’ll have next years released. I got to where I don’t update until something really changes.

Mathews’ offerings for the last 6 or so years have definitely not been the lightest. I haven’t had the opportunity to shoot a VXR yet, but I have held them. Out of the box it’s one of the best balanced bows they’ve ever produced. Their plant’s been shut down the last 6 weeks or so and I’m hearing rumblings that due to this, they might not release a new bow in November because of the demand for the VXR’s.

I bought one this past season and it is by far the best bow that I have ever shot. I have always pretty confident with a bow but honestly, I don't feel I can miss with this one. It is so smooth and compact. I have not been able to find any negatives with it.

I shot the 28 yesterday while waiting for some work to be done on my bow, it was hard to leave the shop without a new bow. Also shot the RX4, it was very nice too, but I would choose the VXR especially with the $500 price difference.

I haven’t shot the VXR yet but if it is any better than my Vertix it has to be unreal. Love my Vertix.

Mobile Al,
Its a bit heavy, draw just a tad stiff up front, but by far the quietest most dead in the hand bow I have ever shot. I bought the 28 two days ago

I'll let you know in a few days. I'm leaving in the morning to visit my son in Little Rock. He bought a VXR about two months ago and loves it. I'm bringing my Triax and we're going shooting.
