You'll find some good folks in the local beekeepers associations. If you are willing to spend the time and effort, beekeeping is an amazingly rewarding hobby. And I'm not talking about that liquid gold either. Best of luck!
If there's any doubt, then there is no doubt... The gut don't never lie.

Honey should cost $50 per quart.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

And I'm not talking about that liquid gold either. Best of luck! Liquid Gold! I wish that was true. Have been beekeeping for years and enjoy it, well all but working them in a bee suit/jacket once the temps are over 85 degrees. You know how to make a small fortune beekeeping? Start with a large fortune! True That! 30 years I didn't see any small hive beetles in my bees. Nowdays if you don't stay on top of them, you'll loose a hive quick. And if you're buying bees, they are expensive.
