hallb Booner Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 10,638 Santa Rosa/Conecuh	I do mine the same as Irish, but I chop up 3-4 strips of bacon and cook that up real good in the cast iron pan and then just add my flour right into that and then it's the same. That way I got some bacon pieces in it.

Super Dave 6 point Joined: Apr 2018 Posts: 951 Central Alabama	Use rotel tomatoes in a basic white gravy. Add a sprinkle of Tony's for good measure. Went all in earlier this week and used fresh tomatoes and peppers out of the garden. It was a little more work prep wise, but worth it. Had cheese grits, bacon, scrambled cheese eggs, and homemade biscuits with it. David
