Congrats. I used the whine a little this morning. Worked great all except for the part where I missed the turkey at 30 steps. It's the jinx, jughead put it on you  The limit bird is always the hardest no matter what state you are in.

It's the jinx, jughead put it on you Whatever dude! I go to bed every night praying that all my pals, and even you even though you've been poking a voodoo doll with my name on it, kill a turkey the next day. I think that's why the Lord has allowed me to kill 3. Just think, if you were a nice guy to your turkey hunting pals like me, you would probably have killed 6 turkeys in the first 3 days with 3 shots instead of getting off to this terribly sluggish start you've had. Since when was I your turkey hunting pal? You have never taken me to your petting zoo and showed me the high fence birds you have been hunting. Do you clip their wings before you release them so they can't get out? Besides Troy holds the voo doo doll, I just send him the needles when he breaks one off in it. I have only hunted 8 days this year so far, I haven't got to hunt as much as usual, but I have made the best of it. I've got to get me one of them cushy desk jobs like yours where I can hunt every morning, go home and take a nap, and then go in to the office and work 2 or 3 hours during the season.

Congrats on the kill! I whined at the Hell Gobbler on the Coosa yesterday and he went crazy gobbling. Then he walked off like he always does. I had one do the same thing today and my calling was easy and quiet. When he started walking of I cranked it up a notch. He gobbled his head off every step to the next 3 hollars. Talk about feeling fustrated. Im going after him again this morning and hopefully catch him alone. If he dont play today Im hunting another turkey for awhile!

Preacher, have you gobbled at him yet? If not do some hen yelps, and then gobble 3 times pretty quickly right at him. I k.ow it is public land, but I might just work. It has worked for me like a charm before.
