I know a good 33 acre lake in Macon county. Between Shorter and Fitzpatrick.

That actually works better as I am from Pike Road. Would you mind sharing the location? Feel free to PM if necessary.

What about Purdles Puddle in Snowden?
I'm not sure if it's a day fishing pond, it might require a membership. But it seems to be popular with the locals.

I have never been to Purdles Puddle but have read comments about it being fished out...don't know the truth to that. However, I see you are from Clanton have you ever fished Minooka in Jemison? If so any good?

Actually I've never been to Minooka. I know several people who like it, but I'm sorry I can't offer any personal experience.

Actually I misspelled that, it's Pirtles Puddle. I knew Dr Pirtle well, and he used to keep the pond stocked and maintained.
Don't know who's taking care of it now, since he died.

If you can get on Maxwell, hit up the golf course ponds. There's one close to the river that I believe got 'stocked' when there was a flood. We'd castnet a bunch of gizzard shad and use em to tear the big cats to pieces.

Been here long enough to go from "bring 'da pain" to " bring 'da pain meds.
