No. But I'm always delayed anyhow lol. They may call back in a hour you never know, but they're slammed i guess, so they may not even call back with a proceed...

I never buy new guns. They leave a paper trail.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

I bought one Wednesday afternoon and was in and out in 20 minutes. Definitely depends on the agent sometimes also.

The predictability of the system is like gambling in Mississippi. The casino holds all the good information. When the system gets backed up everyone is delayed. I have no idea how many I've run and the one thing that gets some folks through quicker than every one else is the uniqueness of their name. Females never get delayed. Yesterday seventeen in a row were delayed. First time for almost all of them. With the current demand for firearms my suggestion is to simply plan on a delay and go from there.

Still pisses me off about the whole permit thing, but oh well, that's over and done with.......

When I sell a gun this is the "talk" I give to every single buyer:
"Let me explain how this works. I'm going to sell you this gun. I'm going to take your money, ring it up, and give you a receipt. You bought it. Its yours. However, you cannot take possession of this gun you just bought unless the FBI says so. I'll take this information you filled out on the 4473, enter it into the NICS database, and the FBI will give me one of three responses. A tab will pop up that says "proceed". That means we're done in five minutes and you can have your gun. Another tab can open up that says "delay". They do not tell me why. I cannot ask why. The FBI has three business days to deny the purchase or the firearm is transferred based on their not responding. I can get a tab that says "deny". The FBI has refused your purchasing or possessing this or any other firearm. In this case we will refund the purchase amount less $50 to cover our time and expense. You may appeal the refusal to the FBI. They denied you - we didn't. Do you understand?"

I never buy new guns. They leave a paper trail. Same here. The number of guns I own nor their caliber is contained in any government database. They know I own at least one, only because I have a CC permit.

I never buy new guns. They leave a paper trail. I rarely buy a new one but sometimes in the sheer number of guns that come through is an absolute gem. I bought two Mauser HSCs Friday. Beautiful German made police .380s. Its the first two. The third is a Vietnam bring back.

Yep. I got a delay and then a deny on the last one I got from yall five years ago. Took a lawyer and a year to get my paperwork back. I walked in with a paper from the FBI that started I could purchase as many firearms as I'd like. Showed the paper to one of yall. Not sure if I knew you then. Y'all all looked at it. Said it was the first one you had ever seen. Walked out with my gun.

Was ask if I wanted to pay the $50 and cancel the transaction. I said hell no. Gun was still on the shelf with a delay and deny sticker on it. The paper certificate from the FBI had a stamp on it kinda like a notary public so it couldn't be faked. Kept a copy of it and all paperwork involved if anything ever happens again.

I saw that sign after the fact myself.. it didn’t cost me that much in gas😁 and I’ve never bought a gun from a place that makes you pay for them before they run the paperwork 🤔😁
They had to start doing that because people would come in and get you to run the check to see if they could pass. If not, no surprise. If so then they wouldn't buy a gun but go somewhere else or order it online. Lots of time was being wasted on tire kickers. Its the owner's business and he sets the rules. Been that way since i've been there. No big deal.

Been that way since i've been there. No big deal. That don't make sense. So they would pass the check, but then refuse to purchase the firearm? 🤔 They were just trying to see if they could get through. They would get a background check done before choosing one just to see if they could pass. Anyway, this was all before my time. Again, its been that way for years.
