I’m looking for an AR style rifle in 22LR preferably a Colt but I’m not firm on that. Anybody got one laying around they want to sell?

I've been a connoisseur of dedicated .22LR uppers for a while. The best way if you have the tools to assembly yourself (bench vise, clamshell receiver holder, torque wrench, hand tools): CMMG bolt & barrel from optics planet. It's best if you buy them as a matched set IMO. Optics planet has lots of coupon codes if you search around Redimag Better mag adapter (allows you to use SW 15-22 mags & enables bolt hold open) S&W 15-22 mags If you dont want to go the DIY route look for the following: Tactical solutions .22 upper (discontinued, but still supported by their CS) Spikes .22 upper (discontinued) factory CMMG .22 upper All of those should let you use a standard AR lower and aftermarket nice triggers If you dont care about being able to use a standard AR lower & some parts may not interchange. FWIW project appleseed does not allow 15-22 rifles at their shoots due to safety concerns.
