If you have a weak stomach, don't look at the pictures in this link. A machinist got a shirt sleeve hung in a lathe and I believe he was there all night by himself.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Had a client years ago cleaning the teeth on a homemade machine that ground up metal for recycling. Co worker “accidentally” started it up. In the discovery phase it was discovered the coworker was having an affair with his wife.

I’ve ran a lathe like that 100’s of times. I seen an idiot reach over a chuck one time while wearing a long gold chain while it was running. His chain bounced off of the round part of the chuck 2 or 3 times before he even checked up. Had it been a tad lower one of those jaws got inside of it there would’ve been a mess about like that most likely. He got a good chewing out by the shop head.

Yes it is. I remember this being part of a safety class that I was in several years ago. It still makes me squirm when I look at it.

That lumber co. better have the right lockout procedures documented, trained and followed or they’ll have to pay bigly.

That's nothing. We had a worker fall into the hot dog making machine for a large Alabama meat distributor. Turns out he was supposed to clean it at night and showed up to work drunk and didn't use the lockout. Somehow it turned on and he fell in. It wasn't pretty. It got his lower half first so he was awake while he was ground up.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

At least he was already numb.

Have a friend that owns a tree service. His brother in law was working for him and when through one of those pull behind grinders. Guys were talking to him and turned away and when they turned around they couldn't figure out where he went......

Seen a man's wedding ring pulled up into the palm of his hand on a lathe. Even though my lathes are smaller, I respect the hell out of them.
