Have a 20 year old 45 hp tractor.
What is a fair price for annual coverage?

It depends on dollar limit you list as the value on the policy. You can use about 1% of that amount as a general rule. Larger equipment schedules and lower hazard equipment have lower rates, so for one machine I'd say 1-1.5% of the value.
IE: $25,000 tractor, will be $250-375 a year. A lot of these policies have minimum premiums of $1,000 though.

I have been paying $270 a year for 20 years - policy premium has always been the same each year, but I started wondering recently if it is a little high.
Was a $17,500 New Holland tractor bought new 20 years ago. Policy is with Inland Marine a State Farm captive.

I'm an agent in Camden, Alabama.
Our rate is about $1.40 per $100 of coverage, $125 minimum premium. $500 deductible. I don't think we make money on this line of business. Too many tractors burn or get stolen. Pm sent swamphunter

I have Alfa on the tractor, bushhog and trailer ($22K total), less than 200/yr. $500 deductible on each
It was explained to me that homeowners (not Alfa) will cover the tractor from fire and/or theft at my home and if you don’t plan to haul it any where then you really don’t need additional coverage. I “think” if something happens to it at my house now, then I still have to file it on homeowners and Alfa would cover whatever homeowners doesn’t.
You're only as good as your worst shot-

KTAC, or inland marine.
My home owners at the time (SF) said we don't cover it if it leaves your yard no ifs and or buts.. You trailer it somewhere you need full coverage auto to cover it. Take it to your hunting camp and gets stolen? Your hunting camp should cover it, not our problem.
KTAC covers it be it at home, trailering down the rd or 1000 miles away from home at the hunting lease. Stolen, burnt, tree falls on it etc its covered And, its less a year than bumping up just one of my tow vehicles up to full coverage to cover it
Runs me about $375 a yr on a 46hp kubota
Ethical behavior is doing the right thing when no one else is watching - even when doing the wrong thing is legal. Aldo Leopold .. (except when it comes to trailer tags)

Kubota insurance. It doesn’t matter what brand tractor. I forgot their rates but we’re the best around.
Most only cover it on your ground. Falls off trailer= no coverage. Stick limb in radiator at club= no coverage. But not with kubota. They cover it no matter what and will come get it if you want. Deductible was $200 or $250, I can’t remember
Well, now I see that several have recommended it above me.

They cover it no matter what and will come get it if you want. That's what I like about the insurance that I have.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.
