How have yours been doing compared to 45 days ago? Im wishing I had been able to put more into what I bought.

I bought my stock when I was in my 20's for the purpose of leaving it and collecting dividends to buy more with. I can say that in over 40 years of holding and adding when I could, the stocks have paid for themselves ............ and plenty more. Unfortunately the ones that bought and buy to make a quick killing are the ones that are hurting guys like me price wise, but I'm still getting that dividend that hasn't changed, and buying more shares with it, although at a lower price. This "adjustment" or whatever you want to call it won't hurt guys like me because we hold on no matter what, and the market always bounces back, so I'm not worried.

In February I sold everything in my 401k except one stock. In March when it dropped to 63, I bought a bunch more. Right now it is trading above $83. April 29, they release their 1st qtr results. I hope it hits $90, which is my sell point.

Not stocks but my 403b has gone up 32,000 in last 2 weeks not sure how.

Dow fell ~36% in roughly a month and now is up ~30% from the low of roughly a month ago.

If you watch the news and/or listen to some folks on here you’d think the sky is falling. Or you could have just made a 30% return in a month🤷🏼‍♂️

Worst quarter in recorded history. Wasn’t exactly a no brainer that the market was going to go up. Oil has never gone negative. Anyone that knows what the market will do is either wrong, or a billionaire. And there aren’t too many billionaires on aldeer.

Lots of bad news coming. I think you’ll get another chance to buy low.

No doubt. If you listen to the experts you would be scared to do anything. I’m of the opinion to find high quality beaten down stocks that pay dividends. But I’m broke so don’t follow my advice

The market will dip again but I doubt it re-tests the lows. The Fed has unlimited QE at their disposal and if things do happen to tank, then they will just propose another stimulus package. The market has soared every Thursday when they release the unemployment claims. The markets do not care about the 26 million unemployed. Fundamentals haven’t applied to the markets in years. It’s a traders world. 4.3 trillion injected into the markets by the fed have accounted for the 30 percent pop the last month.

That's not very reassuring for someone's life savings

...and things are steadily, but slowly, starting to open back up now that folks are getting their heads out of the dirt.

I'm only down 8% as of today on what I have in the market. If I get within 1% pretty soon I'm moving to an all cash position...or as soon as practical without giving away $

looking back to mid march history levels on some of the stocks there was a lot of money to be made if bought back then. I used my stimulus check $ and some other I had stuck back to buy a few different stocks. If I loose it im not out much but at the historic lows of some of these stocks its almost inevitable without a stock market crash they will bounce back. Maybe not to the level they were before but maybe 60-70% of pre corona prices. I bought for the long haul and not to flip quick but on one of them I could have sold for a 37% gain 7 days after I bought it. That was tempting but Im letting it ride.

Thanks to Skinny, I'm up 20% today on my Dollar General buy from March.

And now he’s gonna be expecting his 3%😂
