You can hear a Polaris coming half mile away. I hear gravel being disturbed when a Honda comes up and don't hear the engine till it's right by you. Well since y'all dragged Polaris into this I'll bite 😀 #1 I can hear the gears shifting on a pioneer (both my buddies models are noisy) a half mile away #2 I ride with 2 honda 1,000s on a regular basis ( accept when theirs is in the shop for another recall) neither one is significantly quieter than my 2018 900. Now the old models are loud, but My 2018 Polaris 900 is purty damn quiet (few members on here that'll vouch for that) it's a hell of alot quieter than the old models for sure. But whatever you do just STAY AWAY from those Canned Hams 😁

“They” say the heat issue was fixed on ‘19 model, forward, as well as a clutch fix that has been recalled for older years. I got one at the end of last year and it is light years ahead of my old ‘06 rhino in comfort and noise level. I haven’t had it long enough to put it through a proper duck/deer season, so no good info to review from....but I like it a lot!!
*eta: yeah, James, I’m still getting used to the pre-shift “ka-thunk” of the auto transmission...whine doesn’t really bother me (yet)

I recently rode in a Honda 1000 Pioneer and though it was quiet, the ride was not anywhere near a good or plush like the newer Polaris 1000. I wasn't impressed with the Honda and the ride quality at all.

As someone mentioned. They do sling mud like crazy.
The reason I went with the Honda was it was quiet, didn’t have a belt in the transmission and was so much shorter than the other 4 seater SxS. Definitely need to add the extended fenders.

I would choose the Honda over the Crew also.

I'm going to go look at all of them in the next week or 2. I'm hoping I can get a descent deal since I doubt there selling any. Look in Mississippi or Tennessee, I drove to Chattanooga to save 2500 bucks. But, I think I saw something where some of the dealers are closing until the crap passes.

Buddy of mine bought one back in January. Very nice ride. Given that it’s a Honda, I’d think it should last a long time.

I bought a 500, and it has been great. I drove to Chattanooga and got a great deal on a 20, and no dealer fees. What dealer in Chattanooga?

Great machine! The only issues I have is the weight (1750 lbs) and crap you put in the bed does get under the back seats. Also the back seats are made for kids. Not comfortable for long rides for full sized adults. I advise a boat cushion for the back seats to sit on. Even with this it is probably my next SxS purchase.
I have a 3 seater Viking now and love it. Its light (1420 lbs) , nimble, the engine is bullet-proof, very comfortable seats, front passenger grab bar, powerful enough and is amazingly fuel efficient on long dirt road rides but I want to try the Pioneer 1000-5. If Yahama decides to upgrade the Viking to the twin 850 they just put in the Wolverine I think I will stick with the Yahama.

I personally like the Polaris as long as it is a full size version even the 570 has all the power 99% of people will ever need. I try to buy American when I can, and some of them are built in Huntsville.

Brookhaven Honda beat everybody I got quotes from by $1500 plus OTD. Taxes were taken into account on out of state purchases, so there were a couple of dealers cheaper [abernathy in TN and one in GA). after gas/time traveled/taxes, it was close to a wash and they got my purchase. I get it serviced at my local shop and they don’t seem to mind the Brookhaven Honda sticker on it!
