The reason things are shut down is because the younger generation is using all the free time to congregate in parks and open places for parties. Now that would be fine if these idiots were the only ones being killed by the 'Rona but that is not how it works. They are putting everyone at risk, therefore, it is in the best interest of all of society to close the parks. If you don't like it file a lawsuit and try to get an injunction, but I guarantee that a court will say it passes the strict scrutiny test, i.e. the best interest of society overrides your right to use public property. Just another example of the minority ruining it for the majority.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Meh, the state of SC closed down public boat ramps the other day so this sounds about par for the course. The gov’s justification was that not enough folks were “complying” with his orders. So apparently if you are a citizen that doesn’t comply with the wishes of the crown, they will close taxpayer funded facilities to punish everyone into compliance....

Just go ahead and do it. Make sure it's at night and turn on the lights too. Let us know how it went.

The choice is yours, but think of the consequences and the example you are setting for your kids. I don't like the rules, I'll do as I please. What happens when your kids decide to do that to administrators and teachers at schools, or even you when they get older and want to do something you have told them not to do for their safety?

I don't like things being shut down any better than you do. If you have read these forums the past couple of weeks, you would hear a lot of us griping about what it is doing to our businesses.

It is pretty simple. Stay out of the park..it is closed. There is no unalienable right to USE baseball fields.

Why you feel that you have to play ball so badly that you would just take it upon yourself to ignore that its closed is ridiculous OK? Act like a grown up.

And that would be a heck of an example to teach your kids...just ignore the rules if YOU dont agree with them. Jeez...and stop agruing with yourself.

You asked for an answer and the answer is go hit the ball around a vacant field somewhere else. Dont keep agruing about the answer you get because you dont like the answer.

There is a law/ordinance in Mobile that says you cant wear a mask in public. Do I have to follow that rule too? Just checking with aldeer, dont want to turn my kids into criminals.

Under this pretense are we just going to follow the rules that we as individuals think are right and just, or all the rules that society as a whole has deemed right and just.

What is the point of asking someone's opinion and then arguing with the responses? Just do whatever you want and suffer the consequences.

Man some of y'all are quick to assume who a person is, without cause...I am a very much law abiding citizen. I'm 41 years old and have never had a speeding ticket...that doesn't mean I've never gone over the limit, but I've done it few enough times to not get caught. I am also not taking my ball and running home, full day of work today kept me off aldeer, which I am very thankful for. I was not looking for a my way or the highway response. I was frankly stating my opinion on this. I don't even know who else to make a response to, but it is clear we have become the sheepels
