The Marton Ranch in Wyoming
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Go big or go home, I concur. However, closer to home would no doubt be Raymond Jones.

Samuel Upchurch, an attorney in Birmingham, called Grey Rocks. Perfect layout, flat, all game, some history, and close enough to home I wouldn't have to move.

But if I had to inherit any land in the state of Alabama. I’d have to go with Ben Russell. Just because he owns so much and a lot of it borders lake martin

This is by far the best I know of within a reasonable every day driving distance. A lot plays into what an individual seeks in a property and it is personal to them. I'd take Grey Rocks over any other property in the US for my personal wants. And I am probably the only person in the US to say that.

Only a few acres, but Hugh Hefner's place would suit me as long as a fresh stock of does are maintained... Now would be Darren Metropolous place. 33 year old has bought and sold a bunch of companies. Owns PBR

Yep. Close to the house. Looking at piece down there now. What you got against Enon? Nothing against Enon but Sehoy is about 10 times bigger.

It was once all owned by Cam Lanier and was 26,000 acres total.....Parcels have been sold off though. Now I believe what is considered Sehoy is around 5,000 acres and Enon is something like 4500...I think that's close anyways

Parker Island isn’t anything to sniff at I've tracked several deer for them....That's probably my favorite place to go.

The McGowan’s ( union camp ) 30 years ago The McGowin's still own a good bit of land. And all of them are the nicest people you could know. Back when Floyd was alive, he was to the point and some thought that he was being an ass. But he was just Floyd and he was a very interesting man to talk to. He wrote a book (The Forest and The Trees) before he died and it is a good read into his life and the WT Smith lumber co.

I’d take Westervelt’s. Cut enough pine to pay property taxes and replant long leafs. Burn every inch except for hardwoods, and dare somebody to cut another hardwood tree off of any of it. If there are any left. Why would you not cut any hardwood?

If there are any left. Why would you not cut any hardwood? Because, if you look at timber company property, it’s all but gone. I know, “it’s only useful for a short period” as far as game goes. Turkeys say different. There’s plenty of scratching that is made daily in the few spots of hardwood that I’m allowed to hunt. Also, it creates more diversity than just them golden pine trees and would be a big part in my dream property.

That would be terrible timber management or wildlife management. Not all hardwoods are mast producers. If managing for strictly wildlife, the best oaks would need to be identified then released. Clear cutting is not necessary but removing the less desirable hardwoods to release the best only makes sense. Thanks for your opinion. If I ever end up with all of westervelts property I’ll ask for it ....actually, I probably won’t. I’ll do what I know and learn is right. Until then, I’ll work, try to kill a few deer and turkeys off the lease I can afford and answer hypothetical questions and try not to derail threads. 😉

Man, I was just carrying on a friendly conversation. Why don't you take some Midol and carry your little biotch a$$ to bed. Slow down the name calling there keyboard cowboy. Speaking of bitches and midol.....I just answered a question and you go all scientific biologist on me. My point was, that there’s very few hardwoods left on timber co. property. That’s it. There’s plenty of them pretty pine trees to burn and create good habitat. Good lord.
