No turkey this morning but I did get this guy on a beaver dam before I crossed it. My buddy and his son had warned me that they saw one and weren’t able to kill it.

Found one and he wins the Oscar for the show he put on. He just wouldn’t commit those last 30 or so yards. Good day to be out with my boy! He only gobbled 5-6 times but my ears are still echoing with all the drumming! We going back after him in the morning. Didn’t hear 1st gobble til 920.

First turkey hunt in the books. I heard one faint gobble.

Had another fun hunt. But it didn’t end with meat. My brother and I called up a gobbler and several hens at 12:30.
They’d been in a field below us. I was as shocked as could be when they closed the distance after an hour of calling to them. Needed them 10 yards closer.

“Killing tomorrow’s trophies today.”

On the distance I like to walk to my stands:
“The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”

I'm really envious of you guys that can hear drumming. I would love to experience that in person but I apparently can't hear that frequency range...

Y’all gonna like this... me and a friend got to the lease just in the nick of time to set up
where we planned, Gobbled on the roost gobbled on the ground. Shut up and came to the field, skirted the outside edge
bout 45 yds. Came in on buddy’s side to shoot. Blowed up put on a show but wouldn’t gobble... I told him twice to shoot,
never shot.. he drummed off out of hearing and he says “boy that was fun”... I asked him “why in the heck didn’t you
shoot that bird.” His reply was “we’ve always killed a bird together I thought we’d try to get a double” what a pal.. told him
I couldn’t do the same for him I’d shot it if he told me too... never heard me say shoot but great experience... not always about
blood but it sure does seem that way.. CONGRATS KILLERS

I haven't been able to hear drumming for at least 20 yrs. I don't think I'd hear it if a turkey was drumming on my lap. Must be the frequency

That sucks. I left one somewhere on a place in South Dakota. Never found it despite hours of looking. I also spent 20 minutes Thursday morning trying to a striker I left by a tree on one of my set ups. Finally found it.

That seems to be the only frequency I haven’t lost yet. Cannot hear leaves crunching but can hear my phone vibrate from two rooms over.

I see two problems here. Both may repeat themselves in the future.
