Who uses the word Tom in the south? If I had a dollar for every unhelpful comment you replied in response to my posts I’d have more money. You mind clarifying between a Jake and whatever you call a old/mature turkey or you gonna just continue being an smart Alec. I talked to a guy today that said Jakes fan feathers aren’t all in line so they’ll have 2-4 feathers sticking out further. I’m about to just google it. Jakes beards are usually short and stubby, just a few inches. Their fans, when fully displayed, are longer in the middle than on the sides. Also spurs are short and stubby if they have any visible ones at all. Some Jake's can gobble like a mature bird but you can often tell the gobbles apart, like they havent quite got the hang of it yet. Here is a video I took a while back of some jakes.
