Thanks, did not think Dr. Michael Saag would get out; since he has tested positive

No clue where he could have picked it up. My daughter has had the weirdest cough for 2 weeks and my son started running fever Sunday night and we have fought it around the clock since then. Alternating Tylenol and Advil and it’s staying between 102.5 and 104

Dang man. Pray he gets better quick. Keep us informed of his progress. Would like to know how long it lasts and how bad it actually gets.

I'd missed the stay at home ordinance. Seemed yesterday there was more traffic than I've seen in the last week.

Not sure where he could have got it. My daughter has been sick for a couple weeks and my son started running fever Sunday night. We have been alternating Advil and Tylenol around the clock and his temp is staying between 102.5 and 104. He is as miserable as I have ever seen him. No other symptoms other than weakness.

With fever that high would call doctor and see about testing. And ibuprofen is supposedly bad if you have coronavirus.

Crocker they are recommending no NSAIDS if it is the covid 19. That means Tylenol only and cold baths to help combat the fever

Only accurate rifles are interesting.

. I read the same article, absolutely no NSAIDS.

. Crocker, can he hold his breath more than 10 seconds? Wasn't that one of the sure symptoms, that a patient with this virus could not hold their breath very long?

There's currently 90 confirmed cases in Jefferson Co. and 215 in the state of Alabama. I seriously doubt that there are 60 confirmed cases at UAB and > 30 on vents. This would be disproportionate to other parts of the country in terms of percentage of pts requiring hospitalizations and those requiring ICU/vents.

Keep in mind it's UAB an many were probably sent there from outside the state.

Be rest assured that the reason such a high percentage of the postives at UAB are on ventilators is exactly what Doekiller said. UAB will get the most critical and complicated cases based on their well earned reputation of being the best in Bama and most of the south for that matter, in treating critical patients. Heck, I know a bunch of hospitals in NWF that refer their toughest cases up to UAB on a regular basis.
