What’s up y’all! Well, I should have us two birds already...called one in Monday in sippi and crooked my first bird ever...then was gun shy today and didn’t take a 53 step shot...my med school rotations got cancelled so will just be studying huntin...let’s have fun and kill em up!

Checking in guys. I hate that for you Gobble4me757. I’m hopeythe weather will be better for me in the morning. My work hours have changed, so I’ll be able to hunt way more than thought I was going to.

Going to family land in Coffeeville and just got permission to hunt the single block of woods the turkeys have always stayed on across the creek so it's on!

Mainly on roost right now but you might find you a lonely one. Should be getting better each day. Need some good weather other than all this rain.

Hey y'all, been out 3 times. Twice at Cahaba and once at David K. Nelson. No luck yet. I'm hoping to score on Saturday. I'm in Birmingham and mostly hunt public. Got an 18' SeaArk boat if anyone wants to hunt the hard to reach places. I'm also pretty open most days to hunt.

Congrats cchooque! Y’all are straight killing them! I’m hunting public land, I missed yesterday and today I just sucked at calling I guess lol. I had 2 at 70yds that wouldn’t commit and come on in. I watched them fly down and everything, I figure the hens lead them away. I’m still sitting here hopeful that they’ll fire back up an I can make a move.

Doubled with my brother this am...usually don't post threads or anything but this was probably my most special bird I've ever killed. Congrats on the kills boys! Let's keep em rolling!

Well...my slump continues...blew halfway through a sapling that I didn’t see and missed at 35 yards...fiancé heard her first gobbles and saw her first miss at least lol...If I used decoys, both would have been at 20 yards on the hill with us but they circled and called one up skirting us and just didn’t wait that one more second

Went yesterday afternoon and this morning up here in Winston County. Thought I heard 1 gobble, but that's it. I figured they'd be rocking today and some other people I talked to did as well, but it's been tough. Good luck guys.

You guys hunting private or public? I went and still didn't hear anything this morning. They burned the area and maybe that's screwed things up? I figured the turkey would still be around. Plenty of bugs and forbs around.

Buddy I was with smashed one at 10...I went public around 1 and cut one up only for a guy to kill it...almost pulled a jump shot on a gobbler but dang red dot wasn’t on...had 4 hammering this am so we are going to slip in there early and try em in the am...buddy killed one that wasn’t part of the 4

Man dekalb your killin it son! We chased em here in Tennessee...they are Henned up bad but had 8-10 diff gobblers gobbling over 200 times this am...heard em fly down but couldn’t compete with 4 hens...been huntin some wma and jumped a gobbler late am...

Must be nice to hunt cooperative birds. That is all.

I got on a gobbling bird on the roost Sunday morning and I needed to be about 50 yds closer when he pitched out and pinned me down. He was across the creek on a little hump and would not budge. Problem was he was behind a tree. I needed him to move 5ft in either direction and would have died. He about faced and walked off.

I should be tagged out in Bama if it weren’t for the bad juju on sealing the deal..wounded my second bird ever and second of the season this am on public with a buddy...folded him...only for him to get up and be gone when I got over to him...absolutely sickening...looked for an hour and a half to no avail

Anyone heard from mark and browning?

Man I am having a tough year. Hearing birds but have been messed up by logging operations all season long. I have had deer screw up hunts, hogs screw up hunts and just plain crazy acting birds. Planing to hit it hard over the next week.

Well got on a hung up gobbler Friday afternoon that was hung up at 75 yards for 4 hours...I pulled him to 50/60 which I would shoot but was told to take a high school girl for her first bird...ended up pulling out all the tricks and pulled the gobbler to 25 yards from her only for her to have her mask down and not ready to kill it...I’m done in Bama but am hitting a Tennessee prop later this weekend.

Well, I got my azz kicked this year once again.
