central ala,
Probably have to eat the donkey before the steer. I brought the steer home a few days old in a dog box. My wife raised him starting with a bottle. He kept up with if not surpassed other calves his same age in weight. That was unusual. Now, she won't let me do anything with him and he loves all people. A 2000 lb lap dog. Comes running when he sees someone and you better get out the way because he can't stop as fast as he thinks he can. He just wants someone to scratch him and he's good.

My wife thought it was crazy for me to have 25 gallons of rice and 50 gallons of beans in 5 gallon buckets and in sealed mylar bags. that along with no telling how many cans of chicken, tuna, salmon, and spam should get us thru for a while if it comes down to it

Come to think of it, I haven't seen any road kill this week.

lol ... i did make the comment to my GF last night that it'd be something else to be quartering up a deer in July - if the trend in the grocery stores continue
