I know it always slows down after deer season but man it's almost grinding to a halt up in here. Have we just talked about all the different subjects so much that they're all corn now? Somebody's gonna have to come up with something or it's gonna be nothing but crickets chirping before long. I've never been one to participate in the general forum much and I'd bet there's a lot of aldeer members who are the same. They just come here to mostly talk about wildlife related topics.

We could discuss the literature on deer movent as it relates to available nutrients. Boring


Or, I could start a thread about how I love my see through scope mounts and all you guys could post how dumb and what a rube I am for 3 or 4 pages. That sounds like fun.

I thought we were still a little ways from reaching a this point but I'm afraid we may have hit a threshold. What I thought would happen would be it gradually slowing down at a trickle.....but when the amount of content being added reached a certain level then it would suddenly have a landslide effect. Basically reaching a point where there's not enough being talked about to keep the average person interested or their attention. Then they leave and there's suddenly that much less being talked about and it's like a landslide or fire sale. What we need are more new people coming into the fold. That always helps restart old conversations or brings with it new ideas and perspectives.

Hmmm...maybe we just need some ether sprayed in the carberator to get her cranked back up.

Start a thread about carona circus. Folks ain't talking about nothing but carona right now. Probably be a lot of club openings this season due to financial instability.

You’re definitely right. Aldeer gen forum is nothing but politics, religion and reposts of news. Feels something akin to Facebook (though everyone try’s to claim “this ain’t Facebook). I get positive responses typically in the archery forums but it’s mostly just Shaw giving a answer. There isn’t much discussion. There isn’t much support or discussion for DIY stuff or different hunting techniques and methods either. Anything different gets shat on not discussed. I still check the hunting threads periodically but it’s about slap bare bones. I think the old timers using the sight like it just the way it is and that’s the way it will stay. I’m not putting the site down as I have enjoyed some time here. I’m just conferring what you assessed.

There's nothing at all wrong with the general forum.....it has it's place.....different strokes for different folks. I just know that there are/was a lot of folks who came here to talk about deer topics. I just don't get into the general forum topics that much. I don't have the same interest in them as I do "deer". I'm one of the folks who would be here as long as the lights were on and here lately I catch myself thinking well dang....there's nothing to talk about again today.....i hope we can get more discussions going again.
