I am definitely blessed to have land to play on, no hunting club BS and year-round things to do.

I just recently bought 15 acres and am working on getting a house on it. I’ve spent 8 years living in the middle of a large city (5 years in Charlotte and 3 in Columbia) and come this summer I’ll be officially out in the sticks. That day cannot get here fast enough. Do your homework and find your happy place. There are decently priced tracts of land, you just gotta find them.

Good deal. You'll be set for life. That's enough land to ensure you have no neighbors close enough to be annoying.

Usually the people that say “40 acres isn’t enough” are the folks that don’t have any acres grin

40 will definitely keep you busy.

Living on 90 acres in Henry county Mostly wooded. I've got it paid for with a small mortage on my house. It's late on Saturday evening my muscles are tired. I'm fixing to sit on the porch have a drink over looking Sandy creek.

At times its a headache, always something to fix or do. Days like today its worth it

yup, I've been dreading the rain lately...I keep my eye on the wather and cringe every time I see a rain forecast but today got out and got some stuff done, crazy sore, LOL. my place has realized it's spring, and there are SO many things I didn't get done during the winter...ugh.

Spent part of the day cutting my 6 acre yard. That's a chore by itself.
This morning I walked most of 60 acres behind the house listening for a turkey.
Getting ready to plant about 4 acres of garden. Guaranteed to keep me busy for awhile. 😃

I've got 120 10 min from my house. Thinking about building a house on it, I've wanted to since I was a kid.

Well I am a prepper, sort of. And even though I hate summer, I hate insanity even worse.
So I guess I'm gonna need some more canned goods for the bunker.

I don't think of myself as a prepper, but the wife has got me thinking that I'm becoming one by accident. I've just always had it in my head that I didn't want to be dependent of grocery stores when hard times hit and seen it ideal to have a few acres, pond full of catfish, couple water wells, a garden spot with some seed on hand, wood-burning stove, and a few steers in the pasture even when there is not a pandemic going on. It doesn't take a lot of land either. Keeping up all that stuff can seem to be a money pit at times, but its a peace of mind that makes it worth it.

20 acres here and it can be a handful at times, specially in early summer when everything is growing so fast. Working 50+ hours at work, mowing, bush hogging, gardening, animals, upkeep on the house, shop, barn and other out buildings keeps me pretty busy. Then there is Aldeer time, gotta have that.

Sold my 100 acres this week. Looking to upgrade.

Told my buddy I need to bring tractor and implements over to his farm.

Wandering now if I’ll get to plant anything this summer.
