I just recently bought 15 acres and am working on getting a house on it. I’ve spent 8 years living in the middle of a large city (5 years in Charlotte and 3 in Columbia) and come this summer I’ll be officially out in the sticks. That day cannot get here fast enough. Do your homework and find your happy place. There are decently priced tracts of land, you just gotta find them. Good deal. You'll be set for life. That's enough land to ensure you have no neighbors close enough to be annoying.

Days like today its worth it yup, I've been dreading the rain lately...I keep my eye on the wather and cringe every time I see a rain forecast but today got out and got some stuff done, crazy sore, LOL. my place has realized it's spring, and there are SO many things I didn't get done during the winter...ugh.

20 acres here and it can be a handful at times, specially in early summer when everything is growing so fast. Working 50+ hours at work, mowing, bush hogging, gardening, animals, upkeep on the house, shop, barn and other out buildings keeps me pretty busy. Then there is Aldeer time, gotta have that.
