Best ladder stand you can get are made by Jimmy Andress, lives south of Dothan- 334-714-4424. I have some of his that are over 25 years old. Totally agree. They are not as comfortable as the modern mesh seats but they are the safest and most durable stands you can possibly buy. We put up about 15 of them in the early 90's and they are still good as new today. They will literally outlast the tree you put them on.

Just wondering because I live about 45 minutes southeast of dothan and have never heard of these and would like to possibly get a ladder stand for next year.

Evidently the quality of paint is inversely proportional to the cost of the stands. I'd never spend the money for a millennium stand and I have no problem with the paint on my cheap stands.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

Farmers co op in Frisco City used to sell the single ladders. We had made the decision to buy a couple and they were out when we went to get them. I really liked the way they were made. I need to go see if the have them again. I think they were around $200.

I like his stand, but seems like a lot of metal waste with the ladder being that wide. How tall is that, and cost? The biggest problem I have with 2 man stands are the way they're made make you have to sit straight up. The back should be tilted back some and the seat slid forward. The two mans are wide like that. Singles are thinner and solid as a rock. The singles will have your back against the tree and your butt against a metal seat or whatever pad you put on it. These don't have the comfort of the modern seats but if you want strength, safety, and a stand you can leave up year round that will last your entire life, they are unbeatable. They come in two sections with the bottom half of the ladder sliding into the top half. They are heavy and huge so you need a trailer and at least two people to put them up. But at least you don't have to assemble it with 100 cheap bolts and nuts. A decade ago a single was around $150. I would bet they are at least $200 now but I haven't bought one in a decade (since they last forever). I'm guessing they are around 14 ft. You can add a third ladder section and make it taller but those can be a real pain to put up.

The tall version is 3 sections and 20'. $240.00 two years ago. I put a stabilizer bar to the tree on mine to stop the legs from flexing a bit as you climb. Not required, but I prefer to use one.

Interesting. He must be making new ones with aluminum. All of mine have been galvanized steel.
