I built this rifle several years ago and did all the work myself
Husqvarna 1640 action
Douglas premium xx 26” bbl 1/11 twist
Timney trigger set at 2 lbs
McMillan fiberglass stock with limbsaver recoil pad
Burris xtr II 5x25x50
This rifle had been Cerakoted and the stock camo with cerakote also

Guys this rifle will shoot accurately anything from 150-178 grain
It would be a very good benchrest or hunting rifle

I had an old Husqvarna one time. It was a 300 Win Mag . It loved 180 gr Rem Core Lokts. It would shoot under 1 MOA
All day long .Wish I had never sold it.GLWS.

The Husqvarna 1640 is one of the strongest actions to build from with 3 locking lugs and are so true from the factory that hardly any if any machining has to be done to blueprint them
There are many things to love about them and I think one that really stands out is the trigger is very similar to the Rem 700 types with the same safety and not
the bolt safety
